GNU screen is a window manager for dumb terms but continues to live on in to the 21st century

Screen is an invaluable tool when doing remote sysadmin tasks. If a connection is unreliable or a terminating in the middle of the task would have serious consequences then it is very useful to use screen to perform the sysadmin tasks.
