Question #1 Why are you using a wiki if you're the only one who can edit it?
Answer:
I find the Mediawiki software very easy to work with. I can make small edits to the site any time of the day or night very quickly. The collaborative capabilities of the Mediawiki software are thus secondary.
I may allow others write access to the wiki in the future, in which case moving from the current structure to a collaborative approach will be trivial.
Question #2 Why don't you allow others to edit the wiki?
Answer:
I'm presenting a cohesive approach to system administration here. In some aspects there are other approaches that work just as well but are incompatible. A good example of this is host naming. There are other approaches to host naming that work just as well as the one I use but aren't compatible with it.
